We are a warm and welcoming traditional country pub, set in the heart of the picturesque Piddle Valley.
The Thimble Inn is an historic West Dorset pub and restaurant, renowned for it's walm welcome, and outstanding food. Having recently undrgone a full refurbishment, the stunning interior boasts antique furniture, sandstone and oak floors and even a a glass covered indoor well. On the outside the quaint thatched roof frames a chocolate box building, with streams flowing though the extensive grounds & gardens.
Chef and proprietor Mark Ramsden creates fresh, local and seasonal dishes from scratch. Our bar has at least four Palmers real ales and a comprehensive wine list.
The Thimble is very family friendly and is situated in the heart of the Piddle Valley, just Four miles from the centre of Dorchester.
