The Ardmore Music Hall has established itself as a premiere landing spot for many renowned, local and national touring musical acts. Due to its geographic location on the Main Line, close proximity to the City of Philadelphia, and an upcoming calendar full of a diverse range of artists, AMH draws from virtually every demographic group in the greater Philadelphia area.
The room holds as much history as any local venue in Philadelphia or the surrounding suburbs, known through the years as 23 East Cabaret (1980-1994), Brownies 23 East (1995-2012) and as of 2013, The Ardmore Music Hall. The legendary 23 East Cabaret lived within the same walls, and hosted an impressive array of artists from The Dave Matthews Band, to The Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Ramones, Blues Traveler, Hootie & The Blowfish, Phish, The Hooters, Joan Osborne and so many more. From 1996 to 2009, although the room became primarily a cover band venue, Brownies 23 East hosted national attractions such as Cheap Trick, Los Lobos, The Cherry Poppin Daddys, Merle Saunders, Vince Welnick, Melvin Seals, Steve Kimock, New Riders of The Purple Sage and more.
The club is independently owned and booked. Chris Perella and Tom Linquist took over management in 2014 and bring an impressive track record from their time managing The Blockley between 2009 and 2013. They have teamed with Bryan Dilworth of Bonfire Entertainment, and Jesse Lundy/Rich Kardon of Point Entertainment (formerly of The Point here on the Main Line), to bring a robust lineup of live music ranging from rock, funk, jam, roots, adult contemporary, Americana and everything in between. They have some great plans for taking the club to another level in 2016. Aside from booking a dozen sold out performances to date this year, they have also hosted their first annual Craft Beer Fest (sold out), and Live from the Lot (outdoor concert in the back parking lot with Dr. John & many more).
AMH features include a state-of-the-art sound system, a wide dance space perfect for an excited dance party, a full bar with 21 craft beers on draught, a low & intimate stage, optional seating with great sight lines, and a balcony viewing area for larger events. The venue and its amenities are also available for private party & event rentals. Contact us for more information about hosting an event at AMH.
The Ardmore Music Hall is easily accessible from across the Philadelphia region via public transportation with the Paoli/Thorndale (formerly R-5) regional line to Ardmore Station which is just steps away from our back door.
