With a name that says it all, Big Man’s Food is an American style restaurant that specialises in burgers, burgers and more burgers. Oh, and hot dogs, pizzas, and more burgers.
An ideal spot to take the kids when they leave school howling with hunger or simply for when friends come over and everyone simply needs a good burger, Big Man’s Food will be able to cater to one and all with some fantastic food from across the pond.
Gear up the stomach with some of the excellent appetisers, such as the classic cheesy nachos, the fiery buffalo wings, and the Quesadilla, a crisp tortilla stuffed with melted cheese, chopped black olives and sausages. Also available, and ideal for a group, is the Big Man’s Starter Route, which is an ensemble of all the aforementioned appetisers along with some fried calamari and toasty cheesy garlic bread.
There are many mouth-watering burgers to choose from, all varying in size and toppings, yet the old saying “if you want something done right, you’ve got to do it yourself” has never been as apt as it is at Big Man’s Food. Diners can create their own ‘stuffed’ burger, a several step process that’ll get the creative juices, as well as the saliva, flowing.
First comes the choice of patty; either beef, chicken or lamb, with the option to add another for that extra hearty meal. Next is deciding which ingredients are stuffed inside the patty, with tantalising choices like pepperoni, sliced turkey ham and cheese and onion. After that the garnishing veggies are picked, such as gherkins, rocket salad and caramelised onions. To finish there are many sauces that can accent the custom burger, including garlic and herb, BBQ and Big Man’s special sauce, as well as the option of adding some premium toppings like hash browns, chicken bacon and even a mini Quesadilla.
If burgers aren’t entirely appealing then take a trip to New York with one of the Big Man’s Food pizzas or hot dogs, with some superb choices including the veggie friendly Rusticano pizza, covered in mushrooms, mixed peppers and sweetcorn, and the spicy hot dog known as the Blazing Hot, with two smoky sausages covered in jalapenos, caramelised onions and a homemade chilli sauce.
The taste of the colonies has never seemed so good, and everything is incredibly priced so guests can double stack that custom burger without breaking a sweat, unless it’s the meat sweats of course.
