Based on the footprint of the adjacent Beeston Priory ruins, the hornbeam and copper beach hedging produce this unique maze, while infusions of Prink Escallonia depict the tranquil Priory Cloister. About 2am a few months back Andy woke Lisa up and took her downstairs he drew her a picture of a trawler (well Andys version) and that is where it all began and developed into a fantastic eye catching feature for the outside of the Sheringham Trawler. The Two Lifeboats was originally a coffee shop and Fisherman’s Mission circa 1720.
The public house is named after the Augusta & Duncan lifeboats that rescued a crew of eight from the wreck of the Norwegian brig Caroline on December 6th 1882.
Steeped in history and fully refurbished to a very high standard we opened to the public in June 2012.

Whelk Coppers Tea Rooms was established in 1992 by the present owners Sandra & Peter Foster. This family run business can be found right on the West Promenade (on the coastal path) in Sheringham, open 7 days a week serving breakfasts, light lunches, afternoon teas or coffee and homemade cakes.
All cakes, scones and soup are made on the premises and dietary requirements, i.e. gluten free etc can be catered for on request. Our 3 tier afternoon tea is a must. Dogs are welcome with water bowls available.
