Nestled perfectly in the warm belly of Hamilton House, The Canteen emerged in 2009 out of the creative inspiration and collective efforts of a bunch of Stokes Croft and Bristol brilliants.
From day one we wanted to offer outstanding free live music, affordable homecooked food made with heaps of love and ingredients sourced as locally as we could manage and moreover we wanted to make a place for all to come, a hub, a hotspot, for it to take on it's own direction and to meet and serve the community that drives it forward.

The Crazy Fox is an independent speciality espresso bar based in central Bristol. We serve premium quality espresso based drinks alongside simple but quality food options prepared in our kitchen on the premises. We have a good space upstairs to work or relax in and outside seating. We have a friendly and relaxed environment to spend time away from the business of Central Bristol. The Crazy Fox also has art exhibition space for up and coming local artists.
We’ve visited the beautiful city of Havana and brought home the true spirit of Cuba. We stock over 100 rums and produce the tastiest Mojitos using only the finest & freshest ingredients. After sampling some of the most delicious foods available on the island, we hope we've done Cuba justice, by borrowing some of their delicious recipes to produce our extensive list of tapas and traditional Cuban dishes.
