Family run Lyzzick Hall Country House Hotel offers luxury rooms on the gorgeous slopes of Skiddaw, England’s third largest mountain. The secluded location provides breath-taking scenery whilst in easy reach of all North Cumbria has to offer.

The main house dates back to 1845 and has been looked after by the Fernandez family for over 25 years. The hotel and restaurant strive to provide first class service and food amongst a relaxing and unique setting.

Guests can stay in one of the 30 comfortable rooms, each with their own contemporary bathroom. Lyzzick Hall offers guests exclusive use of its leisure facilities, featuring an indoor heated pool, sauna and whirlpool bath, which all benefiting from stunning hilltop views. The hotel also boasts a stunning Orangery, exquisite landscaped gardens and two beautiful public rooms with ample seating and real log fires.

The public dining-room with fresh flowers and crisp white linen holds an excellent reputation. The kitchen is known for producing a combination of traditional and contemporary British food, often with an international twist. The talented chefs at Lyzzick Hall use the finest locally sourced ingredients. Often this includes herbs form Lyzzick Hall’s own garden. The private bar at Lyzzick Hall is extensively stocked, specialising in Spanish and Portuguese wines reflecting the Fernandez family’s own heritage.
