Fox & Goose Public House is a legendary pub and music venue that has brought a distinct underground flavor to downtown Sacramento for almost 40 years.

Offering a tantalizing selection of the finest draught beers, most of which are from Great Britain and Ireland, fine wines and a full section of liquors, Fox & Goose remains true to its roots. The varied menu, which includes traditional English dishes along with vegetarian dishes and American food, offers something for everyone. Fox & Goose has a reputation as the “Best Breakfast” in Sacramento, winning awards in this category numerous times.

Our intimate space gives you an up close and revealing look at some of the best local and touring music. Stand at the bar and take it all in or grab a booth in the restaurant area and enjoy it from a distance. More like seeing your favorite group in your living room, rather than a regular music club, the Goose transports you to old England where the local pub is a traditional place for a pint, a chat, and some lively entertainment.

On Monday nights, it’s Sacramento’s longest running Open Mic.

Tuesdays we have a fun Pub Quiz that keeps you in touch with all that useless information, but never fails to stir up conversation.

Wednesday is our night of Northern Soul music, a style of dance music made popular at the Wigan Casino in Northern England and is mainly based on the mid-60’s Motown sound, coupled with the fun game of cornhole into the night.

On Thursdays you can expect an acoustic solo singer-songwriter night, whereas Fridays and Saturdays tend to be full bands for a more exciting and lively weekend party.
