Here at Vaqueiros, we offer a traditional Brazilian dining experience with authentic Rodizio style service alongside an exquisite choice of fresh, prime cuts of meat.
Vaqueiros, the classic horse-mounted livestock herders, brought their trade across to America in the early 16th Century as well as their unique cooking style, and now we’re bringing it to York. Their Rodizio style of rotating their meat over open fires ensured tenderness of the meat and preserved the amazing flavour.
We only serve the best cuts of meat, specially selected which are then slow cooked throughout the day, rotated over an open flame to ensure the classic taste and tenderness is retained. Guests are given their own service disk to indicate when they are ready for their meat; when the disk is turned with the green side showing up, one of our Passadores will then bring the pierced meat to their table, which will then be carved in front of them.
As well as our wide variety of our choice cuts of beef, we also offer a selection of other delicious meat, fish and vegetarian dishes to suit all pallets. Our menu features both a lunch menu, and a more extensive dinner menu with even more choice and different cuts of meat.
Our open salad bar features at least four hot authentic Brazilian dishes everyday alongside over eighteen various other dishes for guests to choose from to accompany their meal.
We are also happy to be introducing York’s very first Brazilian style dessert pizza, a sweet dough based pizza with an array of sweet toppings.
We have designed our drinks menu which perfectly complements our food and carefully selected a variety of wines, our favourite Brazilian cocktails created with a Yorkshire twist and other spirits and soft drinks.
