The Speight’s Ale House Tower Junction opened for business in December 2005. Original owners Bill and Cath Haig from Dunedin called time in late 2017 and handed the keys over to the original founders of the Speight's Ale House group. Bill and Cath headed for the hills as the new owners start the reinvestment program into this great establishment and city.
The indoor/outdoor fit out provides Tower Junction patrons with plenty of options , especially during summer.
In 2006 Speight’s Ale House Tower Junction entered the HANZ Hospitality Awards and won the overall prize as The Best Bar/Restaurant in New Zealand. Speight’s Ale House Tower Junction was awarded the Christchurch Entertainment ™ Gold Award from 2008 - 2012 in the Casual Dining section voted anonymously by customers.
The Speight’s Ale House Tower Junction has all of the superb Speight’s family of tap ales available. Our menu features Ale House classics like seafood chowder, blue cod, lamb shanks, steak, venison as well as vegetarian options. All meals are expertly matched to one of our fine tap ales, although an extensive range of wines, spirits, coffees and non-alcoholic drinks are also available.
