Yvonne Lam, Ada Wong and Joselyn Tham, the partnership behind the very successful Food Expression located at the Hong Kong Station Mall (IFC complex) have come together once again to open Cha Sat, a brand-new dining concept in Hong Kong serving creative South East Asian food which are not only delicious but are also extremely inventive and seriously good value for money!
The background of these three women are quite different. Yvonne Lam, the founder of Food Expression has always been in the food industry sine she was 13 years-old and spends most of time traveling to different places to try things out, inventing new dishes & implementing them into our food outlet. Ada Wong, a prolific lifestyle designer who owns duo design degrees from both Central St. Martins College of Art & Design in the UK and HK Polytechnic, who dares to be different and style focus. Joselyn Tham who is of Malaysian Chinese descent and whose family already own a number of Cha Sat canteens in Kuala Lumpur, she just knows by default what ticks to be good Malaysian food. What these three women share is not only a passion for food, but also the challenge of creating unique beautiful dishes that will satisfy any person eating them. They also share the ideology that good & delicious food should not need to cost a fortune and their patrons will be undoubtedly be surprised at how reasonable the prices of each complete meals are and this will set Cha Sat apart from your average canteen in Hong Kong.
On a service level, Cha Sat will combine the relaxed and casual style of an old school canteen but with the efficiency, speed of a prestigious restaurant. The average spending per head will be around HK$25- HK$80, and food will be served from breakfast (8am) to just before dinner time (5pm).
Just like how we do it at Food Expression, all our menus are hand made and our focus is to prepare delicious meals that can be eaten in the canteen or if needs be at your desk even though.
