Kokopo Beach Bungalow Resort is in the town of Kokopo which has become the new capital of East New Britain since the 1994 twin eruption which devastated the town of Rabaul. Rabaul is quite well known for its significance during WWII as the pacific headquarters of the Japanese. East New Britain was also significant as a German colony and Australian colony and so has ties to these three countries.
