Boutique Country Hotel just 40mins south from Auckland Airport in rural Waikato

Established in 1875 the Tuakau Hotel was fully renovated in 2011 to provide luxury accommodation for the discerning traveller.
Each of the ten smoke-free bedrooms upstairs, accessible by lift and 6 Self contained Hotel units in the new wing. All rooms have climate controlled air-conditioning, tiled bathrooms with underfloor heating, internet access, Freeview and SKY TV, in-room safe, and fridge. A further seven studio units will be available mid-2012 for family groups in the new wing.
The conference room has its own balcony and is ideal for intimate seated weddings for 30, theatre seating meetings for 50, or cocktail functions for 100 people.
Downstairs the Bar offers regular entertainment including weekly DJ or Karaoke, monthly live band, members nights, and happy hour every night 5:30-7:30 . There is streaming Music videos, Sports TV with TAB betting available every day and a dedicated Gaming Room run by NZ Community Trust raising funds for local community and youth sports events and activities.
The Restaurant provides wholesome fare at reasonable prices for the whole family to enjoy and will cater for special events. Local favourites include the fresh Snapper and huge Tuakau Rump steak with daily specials available. Dine in the comfort of the Restaurant or eat al fresco on the Palm Terrace or with all-day snacks in the Bar. Take-aways are available too.
The Tuakau Wholesale Liquor Centre 09-236-8886 is also conveniently located onsite supplying wines, beers and spirits to take home and proudly supporting community events.
