The Ship is an independently owned family business & we aim to ensure that during your time with us you are able to relax & enjoy all that we have to offer.

All our food is freshly prepared to order and therefore please don't expect it to appear 'immediately'. At busy times some things may take a little longer - we shall always endeavour to serve you as courteously and speedily as possible.

We sincerely hope that whether you are with family, friends or loved ones that you will enjoy the Ship at Elswick and make it a special place to which you will return time and time again.

Bookings
We take bookings for parties of 5 or more (Please aim to arrive 10 minutes prior to your booking to secure the table) otherwise your table will be allocated on arrival, on a first come first served basis. All parties 4 or less that arrive before 8pm (7pm Sunday) are guaranteed to dine that evening regardless of how busy we might be!

The Ships Captains Table: Bookings (recommended) for larger groups may take advantage of our private area. Available for parties of 12-14 all day or 6.30pm or 8.30pm.
