Proper Pub, Fresh Food & Local Ales; Surfers, Walkers, Dogs & Children Welcome!
Whether you seek our sunny beer garden or our warm and cozy log burner you are assured a warm & friendly welcome at our relaxed and informal village pub.
Located in Gwithian, a peaceful village on the north Cornish coast ,our name bears testament to a nearby river which, until recently, spilled dark red water onto the beaches of Godrevy and Gwithian, caused by Iron Ore 'run-off' from the now defunct tin mines of Camborne and Redruth.
We are a dog, surfer, walker and family friendly pub just a two minute diversion from the Cornwall Coast Path.
Why not pop in and join us for a pint of the proper stuff; Proud to feature in CAMRA's Good Beer Guide we feature many of our local Cornish microbreweries in addition to bringing in ales from as far as Scotland, Wales & even the Isles of Scilly! Outside of our annual beer festival we have featured 250 real ales this year so far and counting....
If you're feeling peckish we'd love to show you our menu, its local, its fresh and fairly eclectic featuring traditional favourites such as fish and chips and succulent Cornish Steak through to Indonesian and Moroccan specialities; There's a good selection of vegetarian meals and a very popular burger menu too - More details and examples of our style and pricing can be found at www.red-river-inn.com - see you soon!
