Wood & Kindle is mobile catering company that offers restaurant standard food for markets, events and outside catering including weddings, birthdays and private parties. Dietary requirements and a bespoke personal menu can be catered for.
With over three decades of combined experience being professional chefs, producing high end cuisine in fine dining establishments, Adam and Steve are taking their passion for food onto the streets with Wood & Kindle. Set up in Newcastle we aim to cater for events, markets, festivals, private events and outside catering across the UK from our pop up kitchen.
Our mission is to provide high end cuisine on the streets at affordable prices. Using Sous-vide technology* and our wood burning oven we create fresh, authentic and intense flavours using locally sourced food. Watch as your freshly made flat bread is rolled out and cooked to order in our wood burning oven using kiln dried ash as our fuel. Topped with a choice of 16 hour Sous-vide cooked meats, each one finished off with its own chef recommended salad and dressing. (See menu for more details).
*Sous-vide is a method of cooking in which food is sealed in airtight plastic bags then placed in a water bath to be cooked for a longer period of time at a regulated temperature. This ensures our meat never loses moisture or flavour as its locked in with its own liquor. Our meat is then finished off in the wood burner to caramelise all those juices!
