About Mama J the Person:
One of fourteen children of Willard and Alease Roland, Velma "Mama J" Johnson was born and raised right here in Richmond, VA. As part of a family that large, along with her sisters and brothers, they took on a lot of responsibility around the house. One of those responsibilities was helping their mother in the kitchen. This is where she learned many of the recipes that are now served in Mama J’s.

Meeples Restaurant & cafe is a family ran restaurant owned by Ron & Sara Flickinger.
The idea for the restaraunt began in early 2011 as Ron and Sara were discussing their love of other local eclectic eateries in the region and the lack of such in Richmond Ky.

Mellow Mushrooms menu showcases natural flavors and the freshest of ingredients in a creative menu assortment of pizzas, hoagies, salads, calzones, appetizers and vegetarian and vegan options. Gluten free crust and a kids menu are also available. There are 40 craft beers, the majority of which are from local brewers.
