步上台北大稻埕迪化街（南街）六七號百年歷史建築「民藝埕」的木質階梯，呈現眼前的是挑高木樑下古色古香的樓內樓，以及延伸至屋頂的黑色現代感巨大茶櫃與吧台。

更驚喜的是灑進天光的陽台，開向這棟傳統三進式街屋的天井。天井種滿鹿角蕨、兔腳毛等山林植物，映眼的綠意，反而讓茶樓更顯幽靜。四十五個座位分成三區，每個角落都令人品味。

這是一座現代都市內的「夢址」（dream site），有如時光通道，讓你在不意間踏入一九二零年代大稻埕儒雅茶商的私人待客廳堂。

但是「南街得意」並不是一家復古的茶樓，它不凝結在過去時光的某一個點上。它卻像是曝光了一百年的超長時間快門，透過不同時代不同風格的家具，在同一幅影像上，記錄著台灣歷史的美麗與滄桑。

不要以為這只是一家販賣空間質感的茶館。大稻埕是台灣茶業的出口港埠，百年來全台灣最懂茶的茶商聚集在這個地區。在大稻埕開茶館，不可能只賣氣氛，一定要有好茶。

「南街得意」提供文山包種、凍頂烏龍、東方美人、鐵觀音、紅玉等台灣本土東方茶，由大稻埕百年茶行的老茶師嚴選，另外也有品質極佳的花茶、果茶與伯爵茶等西式茶品。

為保護歷史建築及維護客人心情，「南街得意」請客人預約，另外也不招待十二歲以下孩童。最後點茶時間為18:00。

As you walk up the wooden stairs in the historical ArtYard building located on Di Hua Street, the vintage duplex beneath the ceiling-high wooden beams will be there to greet your arrival. Connecting to it is the gigantic modernistic tea cabinet in black and a bar in front of it.
More amazingly is the balcony, shined with sunlight, facing the patio of this traditional ‘shop house’. The patio is planted with staghorn fern, claw fern, and several other mountainous plants. The sea of green accents the teahouse’s serenity.

It is a “dream site” within a modern city, serving as time tunnel, which leads you clandestinely into to the house of a refined Da Dao Cheng tea merchant in the 1920s.
Yet “South St. Delight” is in no way a vintage teahouse, it does not focus on one particular point in the past; it is more so a shutter that has been left open for over 100 years. And through the various furniture styles from different periods, the beauty and vicissitude of Formosa history are all captured on one single image.

Every order of tea is accompanied with light yet delicate combinations of snacks, which varies with the type of tea, with the ultimate goal being to best compliment and extend the tea’s flavor. The snacks include mung bean pastry, longan yokan jelly, traditional crispy pastry, dried and preserved fruits, and more, which are all handmade by historical pastry stores in the Da Dao Cheng area.
Moreover, the serveware used at “South St. Delight” is of an exquisite taste the reason being that the teahouse owner is also in the porcelain business. The serveware includes international renowned brand such as Yanagi Sori and Hakusan from Japan as well as local Taiwanese brand Hakka-Blue. On top of fulfilling the taste bud with tea, customers can further satisfy their visual senses with the serveware, making it all a worthwhile experience.
